Candidate Information Guide
Nominations
The nomination period for candidates is Tuesday, August 30, 2022 to Friday September 9, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. Nomination documents will be available in person at Village Hall, 100 Buntzen Creek Way, Anmore or by requesting by email after August 2, 2022.
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to run for Mayor or Council you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older on general voting day (October 15, 2022)
- Be a Canadian citizen
- Have been a resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months proper to filing of nomination documents (March 9, 2022)
- Not be disqualified from being nominated for, or being elected to or holding office
To be eligible to run for School Trustee you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older on general voting day (October 15, 2022)
- Be a Canadian citizen
- Have been a resident of British Columbia for at least 6 months proper to filing of nomination documents (March 9, 2022)
- Not be disqualified from being nominated for, or being elected to or holding office
