Sunnyside Road Closed: Do not remove barricades

Due to water damage from heavy rainfall, Sunnyside Road is currently closed from Bedwell Bay to Summerwood Lane. Please use East Road as an alternate route. Do not remove the road barricades that are in place.
The road will remain closed through the weekend. There is significant damage, which has compromised both the road and shoulder areas. Anmore crews have had to leave work being done to address heavy rainfall impacts in other areas of the community multiple times because people are moving these barricades. It is not safe for cars or pedestrians in the affected area, so please stay away until we can fully assess the damage and determine what work is required to stabilize the area.
The affected area will be reassessed for damage and repairs on Monday, and we will provide updates related to when the road will reopen.
