Local Government Awareness Week

It’s Local Government Awareness Week (May 11–17), which is a time to reflect on the essential services and everyday work that local governments provide to help communities function and thrive.

Local governments play a vital role in delivering services that support daily life — from road maintenance and snow clearing to water service management, utility coordination, and long-term planning. This also includes maintaining public spaces and supporting essential community functions behind the scenes.

With this year’s theme of infrastructure, we’re proud to build on recent milestones like the Anmore Community Hub and are planning enhancements to Dr. Hal Weinberg Spirit Park and the surrounding area. Stay tuned for opportunities to get involved as this next chapter takes shape!
