Pre-authorized Debit (PAD)

PAD is a pre-authorized payment program that provides Anmore taxpayers the option of making monthly payments toward the following year’s property taxes and future utility bills.

The payment plan assists our property owners with budgeting by reducing the once-a-year larger payment of property taxes and twice-a-year utility bills to 10 smaller monthly contributions.

Interest is paid on the amounts held by the Village at prime minus 3%. Please note, if prime is 3% or less, no interest is paid.

How does PAD work?

The program begins with a single authorization:

STEP 2:
Attach a VOID personalized cheque

STEP 3:
Send the completed form with the VOID personalized cheque to Village Hall
(by mail or in person):

Attn: Finance Department
2697 Sunnyside Road
Anmore, B.C.
V3H 5G9

STEP 4:
On or before the due date of the taxation year, complete the Home Owner Grant application if eligible and remit any outstanding property tax owing to Village Hall. On or before utility bill due dates, ensure any outstanding utility amounts owing are paid in full. Penalties will be applied to unpaid balances after due dates.

  • Automatic withdrawals of monthly PAD payments are drawn on the 15th of each month from August to May and continue annually. No automatic payments are processed in June or July.

  • The Village does not refund credit balances and those balances are applied to the following year’s property taxes or the next utility bill. It is the participant’s responsibility to re-assess the monthly payment amount annually and to make appropriate changes to the amount in subsequent years. If you are on PAD and wish to continue with the same monthly payment, nothing further is required of you.

  • For residents currently on the PAD plan, please complete and submit your Home Owner Grant (if applicable) and pay any outstanding balance by the due date.

  • For questions regarding the PAD Plan please contact Village Hall.

Notes about the PAD Plan:

  • All current and prior year property taxes and utilities must be paid in full prior to enrolling in the Pre-Authorized Debit Plan.

  • To leave the program at any time, you must first give 10 days written notice.
