Property Taxes

Property taxes are billed once per year and are payable by property owners to the Village. Tax notices are distributed in late May/early June and are due at the beginning of July.

Claiming your Home Owner Grant (HOG)

Home Owner Grant applications must be submitted directly to the provincial government. Learn when and how to submit your Home Owner Grant application.

B.C. Ministry of Finance Property Tax Deferment Program

Eligible B.C. residential property owners apply for property tax deferment on their principal residence online, and can choose to auto-renew their application.

You may qualify for deferment if you fulfill one of the of the following criteria:

  • 55 or older during the current year

  • A surviving spouse of any age

  • A person with disabilities

You must also meet applicant, property and equity qualifications to be eligible. Please note: Property owners who have property tax deferments are still required to make utility payments to the Village.

Notice of Parcel Tax

Each year, the Village of Anmore posts a Notice of Parcel Tax. A person who owns a parcel included in the parcel tax may request that the roll(s) be amended under certain circumstances.

Notice will be given when parcel tax rolls are available for inspection at the Village office located at 2697 Sunnyside Road, Anmore, BC, V3H 5G9. No new parcel taxes have been established for 2024 and no new parcels have been amended or added to the authenticated Parcel Tax Rolls.

A person who owns a parcel included in the parcel tax roll(s) may request that the roll(s) be amended on one or more of the following grounds only:

  • There is an error or omission respecting a name or address on the parcel tax roll
  • There is an error or omission respecting the inclusion of a parcel
  • There is an error or omission respecting the taxable area or the taxable frontage of a parcel
  • An exemption has been improperly allowed or disallowed

In accordance with Section 208 of the Community Charter, if no amendment requests are received, the Parcel Tax Rolls will be considered authenticated.

Tax Certificates

Tax Certificates are available for purchase through:

  • myLTSA: If you have an account, log in and, from the main menu, select Service Providers and Order Tax Certificates. More information about myLTSA and how to become a customer is available on the LTSA website.

  • APIC: If you prefer to pay for the tax certificate by credit card, go to APIC Canada’s website to open an account and order your Tax Certificate.

The municipality cannot provide tax certificate information over the phone.
