Empowering Education and Community Success
At the heart of our community, we are dedicated to supporting our residents in their educational pursuits and community endeavors. We do this through various awards, scholarships, and grants that help to support or recognize the contributions of our residents and non-profit organizations that benefit the community.
In this section:
The Dr. Hal Weinberg Scholarship is awarded annually each spring to Grade 12 Anmore resident(s) graduating from high school and continuing on to post secondary education.
The Community Spirit award is given to residents in our community who volunteer their time in order to make Anmore a better place to live.
The Sasamat Volunteer Firefighters Association offers a bursary annually to Grade 12 students from Anmore and Belcarra who are pursuing post-secondary education in fields such as fire, police, military, public safety, medical, health care, dental, or social services.
Municipal Community Grants are intended to support non-profit and not-for-profit organizations serving Village of Anmore residents. These grants are provided to assist groups with the delivery of services that will improve the quality of life for residents on a social, economic or physical level.
