Local Government Awareness Week

Join us in celebrating Local Government Awareness Week [LGAW] from May 12-18! With this year’s theme being ‘infrastructure,’ we are excited to highlight our achievement of the grand opening of our brand-new Anmore Community Hub – a place to work, gather, and celebrate!

The opening of the Hub earlier this year marks a significant step forward for Anmore, providing a versatile community facility that will meet the needs of our community today and into the future. The Hub houses our Village Hall, Council Chambers, Emergency Operations Centre, commercial space, and a large Community Room that will serve as a venue for events, meetings, and recreational activities. Now that we’re settled into the new Community Hub, our focus is on finalizing policies required for renting community spaces and improving Spirit Park and the surrounding area of the Hub.

The success of the Hub is thanks to the many partners involved, including Village officials and employees who led the project, the partners who constructed the building, and the provincial and federal governments who supported the project through grant funding.
