Operations Work Yard Upgrades

The Village of Anmore is upgrading its Operations Yard at 100 Buntzen Creek Road to better support the Village’s Public Works team and the essential services it delivers to the community.

Following successful project validation, the project is moving forward with an Integrated Project Delivery model with CGI Constructors and ISL Engineering. The upgrade will address limitations at the existing facility and provide improved infrastructure to meet the current and future needs of Village operations.

Why the Upgrade Is Needed

The existing Operations Yard has limitations that affect the Village’s ability to efficiently support Public Works operations. These include insufficient covered space for vehicle storage and maintenance, limited dedicated workspace, and challenges with vehicle circulation and equipment storage.

The upgrade will address these limitations by providing improved facilities for Village vehicles, equipment and staff, helping support the delivery of essential municipal services now and into the future.

Project Overview

The proposed new building is to be 60′ x 90′ and is proposed to be a pre-engineered steel building on a site organized to meet the requirements of the Village of Anmore. The garage side of the new operations building is to have a clear heigh of 22 feet and also house other mechanical equipment. While, adjacent to the garage area is the office area on two floors. The work also includes civil works, regrading and improved site drainage.

The project is an investment in the Village’s ability to maintain and deliver essential services as operational needs evolve.

What We’re Building

The project includes a new operations building and improvements to the surrounding yard.

Funding

The project is supported by a combination of grant funding and Village capital reserves. In May 2026, Council approved a total project budget of $3.725 million, including contingency. The project has been successfully validated within the approved scope and budget.
