Emergency Preparedness Week is here!
May 4 2026
Emergency Preparedness Week is May 3–9, 2026.
This national awareness initiative is a reminder to take simple steps now to be ready for emergencies—whether at home, work, or in our community.
This year’s theme is: Be Prepared. Know Your Risks. Being prepared also means staying connected. When emergencies happen, we are “In it Together.” Building relationships with neighbours and community members helps ensure we can support one another during an emergency. Take time this week to review your emergency plan, build or update your kit, and make sure you and your family know what to do when it matters most.
Building relationships today means you and the people around you will be ready to work together for a better response and faster recovery ✔️
