Honouring a Growing Tradition

June 30 2025

On Tuesday, the Anmore Elementary 2025 Grade 5 class continued a special tradition by planting four Douglas Fir trees to mark their transition to middle school. The trees were planted along the roadside just south of the tennis courts adjacent to the elementary school.

With the sun shining, students worked alongside the Anmore Garden Club and our Public Works team to complete the planting. Mayor McEwen and Councillor Trowbridge were also on hand to support the event. The Village was pleased to support the effort by providing the trees and preparing the site.

We would like to thank the Grade 5 students for their contribution, and extend our appreciation to Nancy Knauer and the Anmore Garden Club for organizing the day. View the gallery of photos of the event on our Facebook page here.

Best wishes to the students as they take this exciting next step into middle school!
