ShakeOut BC – Practice Your Earthquake Safety

The annual ShakeOut BC earthquake drill takes place on Thursday, October 16 at 10:16 a.m.

To help raise awareness and encourage participation, the Village of Anmore will send a test advisory through Alertable on Wednesday, October 15. This message will be clearly marked as a drill only and serves as a reminder about the ShakeOut BC earthquake preparedness exercise.

Alertable is the Village’s emergency notification system, used to share important information with residents during emergencies or situations that could affect public safety. Download the Alertable app here.

During ShakeOut, you’re encouraged to Drop, Cover, and Hold On — wherever you are — to practise how to stay safe during an earthquake.
