Canada Day Reminders & Office Hours
June 29 2026
Whether you’re celebrating at home or heading out this Canada Day, here are a few reminders to help keep our community safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone.
Wildlife Safety: Help keep wildlife safe by reducing attractants around your home by securing garbage, recycling and organics. Do not put out waste until collection day and avoid leaving food, pet food, or other wildlife attractants outdoors. If you are planning a barbeque, never leave it unattended while in use, keep your BBQ clean and free of grease building, and allow your BBQ to cool completely before storing or covering it. Learn more at anmore.com/living-with-wildlife.
Parking Info: Parking at Buntzen Lake is managed by BC Hydro. When the site is full, vehicles are not permitted to queue or park in surrounding areas. Please do not use the Public Works after-hours line for parking concerns. Learn about parking rules and how to report concerns: anmore.com/parking-in-anmore
Office Closure: The Village of Anmore office will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, for the Canada Day statutory holiday and will reopen on Thursday, July 2, at 8:30 a.m.
For Public Works emergencies only, you can call 604-817-7745 after hours. Public Works emergencies include water concerns, public safety concerns, fallen trees, illegal dumping, and similar urgent issues.
From all of us at the Village of Anmore, we wish you a safe and happy Canada Day! 🍁
