Metro Vancouver Announces Moving Back to Stage 2 Water Restrictions Effective July 16, 2026

Metro Vancouver has announced they are moving from Stage 3 to Stage 2 water restrictions now that the First Narrows Crossing has returned to service following completion of critical infrastructure work for the Stanley Park Water Supply Tunnel Project.

Stage 2 water restrictions will now be in effect as of July 16. Lawn watering and topping up decorative water features continues to be banned.
