Advisory: Ground Fire Response Near Crystal Creek

Update: Metro Vancouver is providing updates on the wildfire situation in the Belcarra Regional Park area. Please follow Metro Vancouver’s Facebook for the latest official information as the situation evolves here.

The Village is aware that emergency crews are responding to a ground fire under the power lines in the area behind Crystal Creek. According to Sasamat Volunteer Fire Department, Sasamat Fire, Port Moody Fire, and BC Wildfire Service are on scene, with a helicopter and air tanker support responding.

Residents are asked to avoid the area and give emergency crews plenty of space to work.
