Message From the Mayor:

“The Village of Anmore is grateful to the many people and organizations who supported our small team in ensuring the safety of our community over the past two days in relation to the fire in and near təmtəmíxʷtən/Belcarra Regional Park.

Our efforts would not have been possible without the support and assistance provided by the Ministry of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness, Metro Vancouver Regional District, the City of Port Moody, the RCMP personnel who assisted in a tactical evacuation of two homes, Coquitlam Search and Rescue, the Sasamat Volunteer Fire Department and all fire and emergency response involved, as well as media outlets and everyone who helped us get the word out to people affected.”
