Sunnyside Road Multi-Use Pathway Construction Begins August 24

Construction on the next phase of the Sunnyside Road Multi-Use Path Project is scheduled to begin Monday, August 24, 2026.

This phase continues the Village’s long-term project to improve safety, accessibility, and active transportation connections along Sunnyside Road. Construction will take place between Alder Way and Mainland Road.

Residents can expect:

• Single-lane alternating traffic on Sunnyside Road between Mainland Road and Alder Way, with Traffic Control Persons directing vehicles safely through the work zone.
• Construction progressing in sections along the northbound lane
• Temporary impacts to driveway access while work is underway
• Minor work and temporary traffic control at Ravenswood Drive and Elementary Road.
• Monday to Friday construction from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
