Project Updates
Construction Updates
Construction of the Dr. Hal Weinberg Spirit Park Expansion started in late August 2026, starting with prep work for the Ravenswood Drive realignment and parking lot improvements.
Ravenswood Drive is now anticipated for partial closure beginning October 1, 2026. This timeline is subject to change due to ongoing construction coordination and engineering updates to the road alignment and regrading.
Tree removal and replanting are required to accommodate the new road alignment, park improvements and regrading. Some trees within the construction area are scheduled to be removed during the week of September 22, 2026. Dr. Hal Weinberg Spirit Park will be fenced off during this phase. Read the construction updates below for more details, which also includes the latest construction notices and traffic impact maps.
